Membership Officer, Geoff Glover. Ph 021 456 837, geoffreyglover@xtra.co.nz
If you’re new to tramping, we request you try a few of our easy, short trips first. You’ll find these listed on our Upcoming Trips page. Please contact the trip leader beforehand to discuss joining the day out.
We generally ask prospective members to complete 3 easy walks with us before applying to join the club. Once you’ve completed your 3 tramps, please download and complete the Membership Application Form using the link provided.
You can email the completed form to the Membership Officer or bring it along to a club night and hand it to a committee member.
A basic level of fitness is an advantage, but you do not need to be super‑fit to join us.
If you already have some tramping experience, let us know.
If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Officer.

Club nights
The Manukau Tramping Club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7.15pm, in the Anglican Church Hall, Coles Crescent, Papakura.
We have a short meeting on Club business, mainly about plans for upcoming tramps. Then we'll have a presentation - maybe some Club members who have just been to Rakiura Stewart Island (for instance) or an expert on foot health (an important matter for trampers).
Everyone is welcome to attend our Club nights, including non-members. There is no charge to attend.
If the first Monday in the month is a public holiday, the meeting is held on the second Monday.

The Club's history
Our Club was formed in 1976, which means we are coming up to our 50th anniversary!
Membership today is around 120, with a wide range of ages. New generations of trampers are making sure the Club remains a welcoming and friendly place, and caters to different levels of ability.
We love to see new people with us out on the hiking trails and at monthly Club nights.
