Welcome To Our Site...
The Manukau Tramping
Club was formed in 1976 by a group of like minded individuals.
Today, membership is around 120, with ages ranging from early
teens, to people in their eighties! Our club members welcome and
invite any new people to participate in our tramps/hikes. We
always like to see some new faces in the group!
Tramps or hikes are held on every weekend throughout the year.
There are two tramps held on Sundays, with one being light
suitable for beginners or people with limited time. The second
tramp would suit those with a medium to high level of fitness
and tramping experience. In addition to day tramps, 2 or 3 day
weekend tramps and other trips spanning several days are held
regularly. Details about tramps are listed on the
trips page.
The weekend trips the Club has done so far
this year include:
- A camping trip to Waipakihi Valley in the
Kaimanawas, at Auckland Anniversary weekend
- The Kaipara-2-Kaipara Walk at Waitangi
Weekend
We are heading to Stratford, Taranaki at
Easter and for a weekend trip to Awhitu Peninsula in May.

Also featured on our website are trip photos and reports so you
can easily follow where our Club has been tramping in New
Zealand's great outdoors!
The club meets in the Anglican Church Hall, Coles Crescent in Papakura, on the first Monday of each month at 7:15pm.
There is a $1.50 entrance fee. If the first Monday in the month is a public holiday, the meeting is held on the
second Monday. Everyone is welcome to attend our club
nights. |
